Medical and Nursing English
We teach how to do basic to advance health assessment in English. With this knowledge you will be able to communicate and ask critical health details about the foreigner/English speaking patients and assist in emergency or non-emergency situation. The best thing about this is our teachers are nurse meaning it’s a great way to help nursing students learn nursing and English at the same time. Plus, we can share our experience and offer nursing tips to new nurses grads.
Checklists
Check list are available and can be custom made for your organization to fit your school, clinic, or hospital. For example, you may be a small dental clinic and need a basic patient background (geographical) checklist or a major hospital that need a custom checklist to facilitate patient more safely and quickly.
Therapeutic Communication
We also will educate on therapeutic communication and the culture of English-speaking patients, for example, in English its not always what you say, but, how you say it. A patient health is a very sensitive issue and must be handled with care and understands what is normal in their culture. Culture norms are health practices that a person is accustom to in their home country that can lead great misunderstanding and confusion on both sides of the communication and may create health risk.
Mental illness
Mental illness uses to come with shame and stigma and people shied away from the subject. However, today there are more awareness about depression, suicidal ideation, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Today with new therapies, medication and communication, there has been great improvements in the treatment of mental illness. This all starts with the knowledge and experience with these kinds of illness and disorders.
